Colonel J.E. Farewell is located in Whitby, Ontario and serves students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

We celebrate diversity and promote responsibility for self and respect for others. We work co-operatively to prepare students to be lifelong learners and meet the needs of a changing world.

Principal’s message

Welcome to Colonel J.E. Farewell Public School!

Our school is comprised of a diverse community with a strong spirit! Currently, our school has approximately 620 students. We have a Junior/Intermediate Practical Learning Program in addition to mainstream FDK to Grade 8 classrooms. We pride ourselves on having a very dedicated staff who believe strongly that “all students can learn.”

Our school motto is “If you believe, you can achieve.” There has always been a strong focus on academic skills, knowledge and values. In addition, we have worked diligently to provide a well-rounded experience for all of our students, under the umbrella of our 5 A’s Program: Allyship, Academics, Attitude, Arts and Athletics. We have an active co-curricular program that supports the development of student leadership and well-being.
