he DDSB is committed to helping students transition successfully from Grade 8 to Grade 9 and beyond. Recognizing that education shapes life opportunities, we’ve introduced "30 Credits My Way," a system-wide approach to intentional planning for secondary school success.

Return to School: 8:00PM


The sample itinerary of the trip would include: Visit to the Butterfly Conservatory, Explore Table Rock Welcome Centre & enjoy the views of the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls, Visit to Journey Behind the Falls, Visit to the Niagara Falls Power Station, Visit to Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum, Dinner at the Rainforest Café

 Graduation Ceremony Information

Our Grade 8 Graduation is quickly approaching, and we are excited for our students journey ahead to high school.

 

Please mark your calendars for our Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday June 24th at Donald A. Wilson SS. Ceremony will begin at 6:00PM

 

Evening Schedule will be as follows:

 

  • Location Donald A. Wilson SS - 681 Rossland Rd W, Whitby, ON L1P 1Y1
  • 5:30-5:45 P.M. - Students arrive and get placed in lines for processional.
  • 6:00 P.M.  - Processional begins
    • Opening remarks
    • Presentation of Diplomas, Honours, and Awards
    • Valedictorian Address
    • Closing remarks
    • Slideshow
  • 7:00 P.M. - Photos with family
  • 7:30 P.M. - Student dance (pizza, snacks, and beverages provided)
  • 9:00 P.M. - Student pick up

 

Tickets:  ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ENTER

Each grad is able to reserve 4 guest tickets on school cash online!

Tickets are FREE. The school will send out an email when tickets are availilable.

Please be sure to save or screen shot your receipt as it will contain the QR Code digital ticket!

 

If you would like to go on our waiting list for additional tickets, please email coloneljefarewellps@ddsb.ca and include your students name and # of tickets you are requesting. Additional tickets will become available on school cash online to reserve on a first come first serve basis.

 

 

Volunteers Needed:

We are looking for parent volunteers wishing to help with set up on the day of graduation in the afternoon beginning at 12:00PM. If you are interested in signing up or would like to attend the meeting for more information. More details to come
